Hans Borop - Germany

Dr. Borop, from Hamburg, Germany is a general surgeon and until 1998 specialized in septic bone and joint surgery. Since 1999 he has limited his practice to neural therapy, specializing in chronic diseases.

His interest in neural therapy began in the mid-1980s and he has been active since then as a practitioner, teacher and writer. He has published widely and is author of a comprehensive text: Textbook and Atlas of Neural Therapy (in German). This book has been translated into Italian and a recent second edition is in the process of being translated into English.

Dr. Borop has a special interest in the science underlying neural therapy practice. He is also active in national and international neural therapy educational organizations and is in demand as a speaker and instructor of neural therapy.

Laura Pinilla Bonilla - Colombia

Dr. Pinilla is president of the Colombian Association of Neural Therapy. She is professor and director of the Neural Therapy division of a Master’s program in Alternative Medicine and an associate researcher in Alternative, Complementary and Integrative Medicine at the National University of Colombia. She also has a hospital appointment as Coordinator of Alternative and Complementary Medicine at the Meissen Hospital in Bogota.

Dr. Pinilla began her neural therapy training under the legendary Julio C. Payan in Popayán, Colombia. Since 2007, she has worked as a researcher in a Colombian Group that applies physical and mathematical theories to medicine and has published several articles. Her Master’s degree thesis, directed by the outstanding mathematician Fernando Zalamea, was an application of the philosopher Charles Peirce’s logic to an analysis of Speransky’s work. Since 2012, she has been a member of the Centro de Sistemática Peirceana (Center of Peircean Systematic) of Colombia, a trans-disciplinary group which applies Charles Peirce’s philosophy to several areas of knowledge.

M. Kyu Chung - United States

Dr. M. Kyu Chung is director and founder of the Chung Institute of Integrative Medicine and Clinical Professor at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University in Camden, New Jersey. He is board certified in both Family Medicine and Medical Acupuncture. He has a truly integrative medical practice utilizing prolotherapy, neural therapy, acupuncture, autonomic response testing, ozone therapy and homeopathy.

After many years of practicing and teaching family medicine, in 2007 he gave up his academic responsibilities in family medicine to focus on clinical and other research in integrative medicine. Over the past few years, he has published several papers related to neural therapy, acupuncture and autonomic response testing. One of his special interests is to make neural therapy and autonomic response testing known in the peer-reviewed academic literature.

Jorge Alberto Duque Meija - Columbia

Dr. Duque was introduced to neural therapy in 1970 by his brother, the late Dr. German Duque Mejia MD who had just returned to Colombia after a year of training by Dr Peter Dosch in Germany. The brothers founded the Latin American Academy of Biological Medicine – Los Robles in Popayan Columbia.

Los Robles was for many years the Latin American training center for several disciplines of alternative medicine. Instructors included Peter Dosch and Franz Hopfer in neural therapy: Reinhold Voll in electro-acupuncture according to Voll; Hans Heinrich Reckeweg in homotoxicology: Ernesto Adler in neurofocal Dentistry; Renate Hänsler-Viebahn in ozone and oxygen therapies, etc.

Dr Duque’s early education took place in Columbia, Germany, France and England, and included a law degree at Universidad del Cauca in Popayan, Columbia. He put his language skills to use by translating most of the German alternative medicine material of his mentors into Spanish. He has also published a book on electroacupuncture and dozens of papers on Spiro-vital therapy, a new therapy developed by German researchers. Dr Duque has found Spiro-vital therapy to be a valuable adjunct to neural therapy and other regulatory therapies.

Lorenz Fischer - Switzerland

Dr. Fischer is an internist who has been practising neural therapy since the late 1980s and teaching internationally since 1994. He is in private practise and since 2004 is Chair in Neural Therapy at the University of Bern in Switzerland. In this position he has succeeded in including neural therapy in the undergraduate medical curriculum.

Dr. Fischer’s research interests include the influence of local anaesthetics on the autonomic nervous system. He has published extensively on neural therapy, is author of the textbook “Neuraltherapie – Neurophysiologie, Injektionstechnik, und Therapievorschlage “, (now translated into four languages) and is on the editorial boards of several medical journals. He also serves as vice president of the International Medical Association of Neural Therapy, vice president of the Swiss Medical Association of Neural Therapy, member of the Scientific and Ethics Commission of IFMANT, and has received honorary awards from the medical associations of Germany, Austria, Turkey, Mexico and Ecuador.

Neural therapy is covered by basic health care insurance in Switzerland in part because of two papers submitted by Dr. Fischer and associates to the Swiss Federal Health Department on effectiveness, appropriateness and cost-effectiveness of Neural Therapy.

Michael I. Gurevich - United States

Michael I. Gurevich, MD is a psychiatrist, Board Certified in Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry. Having been deeply disappointed with the limited effectiveness and side effects of conventional psychiatric practice he explored multiple non-conventional treatment modalities. He became a Certified Acupuncturist and studied Orthomolecular, Functional and German Biological Medicine, treatment with herbs, supplements and homeopathy, energy-psychology, intuitive healing, guided imagery, energetic bio-feedback testing and many other modalities. He is presently utilizing all these modalities in his practice.

In his clinic on Long Island, New York, Dr. Gurevich and his team amalgamate multiple methods in a unique approach: Holistic Psychiatry. They treat patients from North America who has failed most conventional and integrative methods. Using their distinctive approach the team facilitates the reduction and elimination of medication and restores patients to well-being.

He is one of a very few psychiatrists who utilize Neural Therapy (NT) in his daily practice, treating complicated emotional and physical issues. He has organized the first comprehensive course in NT in North America fashioned on the German model. Dr. Gurevich has published in peer review magazines and lectures nationally.

Jeff Harris - United States

Dr. Harris has been practicing neural therapy as his primary therapy since 1993. He was trained and mentored by Dietrich Klinghardt, MD in neural therapy and was his assistant at most of his neural therapy seminars from 1993 to 2006.

Dr. Harris is known as a skillful teacher of neural therapy and has conducted workshops and one-on-one training in his office since 2008. He teaches all over the USA, Canada and internationally. He has the ability to take beginning neural therapists from the basics to advanced levels in a helpful, inspiring and confident way.

Phil Mollica - United States

Dr. Phil Mollica has integrated neural therapy into his practice since 1984 for the treatment of oro-facial pain. He was introduced to ozone in 1997 and has since developed the standard of care in ozone dentistry, as we know it today. He is considered a pioneer in the development and integration of ozone therapy into dental medicine and developed the protocols for Neurozone Therapy, a novel approach to Neural Therapy.

Dr. Mollica has earned three doctorates in dentistry, integrative medicine and naturopathic medicine. He also has a master’s degree in human anatomy and is a full professor of Integrative Biologic Dental Medicine. Dr. Mollica is the founder and President of the American College of Integrative Medicine and Dentistry (ACIMD).

He is an international lecturer, trainer and author and is currently the Vice-President of the American Academy of Ozone Therapy. He is in private practice in Saddle Brook, New Jersey with his wife Dr. Karen Rockefeller-Mollica.

Mark McClure - United States

Dr. McClure graduated from University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 1973, became a biological dentist in 1979, and has been involved in developing dental and medical delivery programs and facilities since the late 1970’s. In the 1990’s he obtained a Doctor of Integrative Medicine degree from Capital University of Integrative Medicine. He later served as Provost (1998- 2005), as President (2005- 2006), as well as Professor in the Department of Integrative Psychiatry and Neurobiology.

Dr. McClure has written many medical and dental textbooks, articles and monographs. He has lectured nationally on a variety of subjects from Integrative Medicine, marketing and management, pre-paid health plans, development of organizations and Biological Dentistry.

Dr. McClure has been practicing Neural Therapy since 1991. He has learned, practiced and taught the expanded vision of Applied Neurobiology as introduced by Dr. Klinghardt in his academic and professional careers

Richard Nahas - Canada

Dr. Nahas was an emergency room physician in Toronto until the SARS outbreak. He entered the front line of battle, and after it was over, made a decision to step away from medicine to travel the world and learn about how the body heals itself. This two-year sabbatical was spent backpacking in South America, Europe and Asia, working with traditional healers and integrative doctors. He returned to Ottawa in 2005 to establish the Seekers Centre, with a current clinical focus on integrative pain management.

He has published peer-reviewed journal articles and textbook chapters, and has contributed to clinical trials and national guidelines. He also developed an integrative medicine curriculum for medical students at the University of Ottawa.

James L. Oschman - United States

Dr. Oschman has an academic background in biophysics and cell biology. He has published over 100 articles in leading scientific journals and in complementary medicine journals. Much of his work focuses on the energetic aspects of connective tissue, bodywork and energy medicine. Jim has written three books on the science supporting energy medicine, the latest being a second edition of his popular text entitled Energy Medicine: the scientific basis. He lives in Dover, New Hampshire and lectures and presents workshops internationally.

Gerasimos (Jerry) Papathanasiou - Greece

Dr. Papathansiou’s trained in dentistry at Humboldt University in Berlin, where he also received a doctorate in Pathophysiology. He has been in private practice since 1997 specializing in general dentistry, prosthodontics and craniomandibular disorders. In the early 2000s he trained in acupuncture and neural therapy through the Austrian Society of Neural Therapy.

From the mid 2000s Dr. Papathanasiou took leadership roles in establishing neural therapy in several hospitals in Athens - in departments of neurology, anesthesiology (Pain Clinic) and physical medicine and rehabilitation. He is founder and has been president of the Hellenic Society of Neural Therapy and Study of Homeostasis since 2009. Dr. Papathanasiou has been a neural therapy instructor in Greece, Turkey, Austria and Germany, was recipient of the Otto Bergsmann Award for Innovative Basic-Research in neural therapy by the Austrian Neural Therapy Society and is an honorary member of the Austrian and Turkish Neural Therapy societies. He has contributed a chapter to the landmark textbook “Handbuch Neuraltherapie”.

Armin Reimers - Mexico

Dr. Reimers began his studies with acupuncture in the 1970s; was introduced to neural therapy in 1980; studied medicine in the 1980s and has been active in teaching and promoting neural therapy ever since.

He is co-founder and president of both the Association of Physicians and Dentists for Bioregulatory medicine (since 1993) and the Mexican College of Neural Therapy according to Huneke (since 2006). He has been a teacher of advanced neural therapy at both San Nicolas de Hidalgo Michoacan University and the Autonomous University of Guadalajara since the early 2000s.

Dr. Reimer has been organiser or co-organiser of more than 60 international congresses or courses in Cuba, Mexico, Guatemala, Salvador, Colombia, Argentina, Ecuador, Spain and Germany. He is an honorary member of the Neural Therapy Associations of Germany, Guatemala, Salvador, Ecuador and Turkey. He is a recipient of the Huneke medal given by the International Medical Association of Neural Therapy according to Huneke.

David Vinyes - Spain

Dr Vinyes of Barcelona, Spain is founder of the Medical Association of Neural Therapy of Spain, founder and editor of the website www.terapianeural.com and member of the Scientific and Ethics Committee of International Federation of Medical Associations of Neural Therapy (IFMANT).

Dr. Vinyes is director of the Neural therapy and Neurofocal dentistry (Master’s) program at University of Barcelona UB), professor of Natural Medicine and Anti-aging Medicine at UB and a leader and teacher of neural therapy in Spain and internationally. He is an honorary member of the Medical Society of Neural Therapy of Ecuador.

In addition to his medical training, he has Masters degrees in both medical anthropology and neuroscience. He has been a pivotal international player in bringing together Spanish, German and English-speaking neural therapists
